The experience is hosted by chef Joel Manninen and his team, they create an innovative, seasonal five-course tasting menu paired with suitable beverages. Glowing Ember’s core idea is to bring premium-grade restaurant experience to unique hut atmosphere using Finnish ingredients served in a way that they deserve. With proud. We don’t want to make just traditional Lappish cuisine, so we get our inspiration also from abroad. For example, Asian cuisine plays well with Finnish ingredients. We search continuously for new techniques, but we also rely on traditional preserving and cooking methods. We also do a lot of foraging, and we collect a lot of our ingredients with ourselves from the nature. The food is only a part of the experience, we want to stimulate all senses in our service, because we want the experience to be unforgettable.
The person behind the Glowing Ember is Joel Manninen who is passionate young chef who has gained his experience from Gustav Kitchen & Bar and organic food restaurant Ostroferia in Oulu.
