First Snow Track

Will be opened on 26th October 2024

The first snow track in Rovaniemi’s Ounasvaara offers the opportunity to jump on skis even before the actual natural snow and winter arrives. The first snow season generally lasts from October to December, until the natural snow tracks are ready for use. The total length of the first snow track in Ounasvaara is six kilometres, and a 600-metre sprint track will be built in the ski stadium area.

First Snow Track in Rovaniemi

The first snow track is a paid track section made of preserved snow, which enables the start of the cross-country skiing season even before the actual natural snow tracks are ready. First snow track will be opened on 26th October 2024.

For the first snow track, you must buy either a season or day ticket, which entitles you to use the track during the first snow season.
